For many of you, no matter how hard you've tried, you're just not "feeling it" this holiday season. Maybe it's year end at your office and you're overwhelmed with work, maybe you don't have the funds to do some of the holiday things you'd like to do, or maybe you're dealing with an illness that's just sucked the joy out of you. I think even our weird warm weather has made it tough to get into the spirit.
So, I'm not going to try and give you a bunch of tips that might help you get in a holiday mood. You've probably tried a bunch of things anyway. What I do want to say is you're not alone! There are lots of people feeling the same way. I think the job is to accept where you are and not beat yourself up because you're not feeling very jolly. In less than two weeks, this "happy" season will be over and life will get back to normal.
What I will suggest is a little self care. Get a good night's sleep, take a bubble bath, call an old friend, say a prayer, take a walk, or listen to a favorite tune. If you're not in the "spirit", feed your own inner spirit and be kind to yourself. That's the best gift your can give yourself. All will be well.
